Paul David Hewson. Dave Matthews. Gordon Sumner. Is it any wonder that the youth of today are subjected to such bland music when even the musicians themselves have such vanilla names? Not convinced yet, elitist fraternity scumbag I-Pod shuffler? Well, how about these handles from the days when the music mattered?

That's right -- Dave Mathews was really Suckie Sucklestein of the Great Neck Long Island Sucklesteins.
Wasn't Diamond Dave that guy who got his ass handed to him by Frankie Fix and Ron the Ripper from San Fran's once-great Crime? Another styling name from alliteration nation is "Juicy" Julie Cafritz (Pussy Galore), but that was more a nickname than a stage name I guess. The Red Man would've liked at least two of her "qualities," though!
